The Challenge
The problem that Osmo Wallet is trying to solve is the ease, speed, and security of sending and receiving payments using Bitcoin. It aims to address the challenges associated with traditional payment methods such as costly fees, long wait times, and the need for currency conversion when making international payments. Osmo Wallet provides a user-friendly mobile app that simplifies the process of transferring funds to friends, family, or business associates globally. During the development of the Osmo Wallet application, several challenges were encountered. One major challenge involved dealing with third-party dependencies, as integrating external services and APIs required careful coordination and testing to ensure seamless functionality. Additionally, working with a new technology, such as the Bitcoin Lightning Network, presented its own set of challenges, requiring the team to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of the technology and troubleshoot any issues that arose. Implementing advanced functionalities like sending money via SMS or autoconverting currencies also posed challenges, as these features required extensive refinement to ensure reliability and user-friendliness. Although significant progress has been made, there is still ample room for improvement in these areas, and the development team remains committed to ongoing refinement and enhancement of these functionalities to provide the best possible user experience.

The Outcome

Osmo Wallet is currently available as an application on both Apple and Android stores. While the project is still under development, the first iterations of the application are already live.
